I'm back ................................

18 months later and I'm back!!!  I've actually started to stamp again after a long break.  I lost complete interest in stamping. I tried for MONTHS and nothing was pulling me back in .... I didn't see any new techniques that interested me, no new stamps, no new inks, no new papers ...

That is, until I saw these AMAZING clear flower stamps by Totally Tracy.  Tracy Weinzapfel Stratton!!  Every Monday evening Tracy has a Mixed Media Monday.  You can join here ...

I dug out my acrylic paints and started to stamp and paint cards again!!!  WOOO HOOOO!!!!  This is where I also went for inspiration!!!

Here's what I have been doing the past few days while its been cold and raining outside...

I will be starting a new part-time job soon so hopefully I will have time to create more cards. I'm happy my mojo has returned!  (A big thank you to Amanda Aldridge!! She suggested it)

I'm still here - just taking a break from stamping!

I started this "part-time" job in February and was told it would be 16-20 hours a week.  Well I have worked way over that and haven't had any time to stamp lately.  This week I think I worked 52 hours and next week will be about the same.

This is where I would love to be :).

A card for Traci

I am in love with dies from Memory Box lately.  I love this park bench that I saw at Stampers Alley in  Mooresville.  The owl is a brad and I found the tree stamp at HL with a coupon.  I made this for my friend Traci who is in her last 16 weeks of school.  She has been working so hard and I am so proud of her going for it!!!
I hope she likes this and it makes her smile :).

Homemade envelope glue

I made the homemade envelope glue because I could not find the envelope glue at Hobby Lobby. Instead of driving all over town looking for it, I went on you tube and found a video how to make your own glue for envelopes. Its super easy and it works!!  You just need to make sure you glob it onto the flaps real good and let them dry for a couple of hours.

After letting the envelope dry overnight, I can safely say the envelope is still sealed tight and it worked great.  Guess what I will be doing this morning!! :) Happy Envelope Making!!

Envelope Punch Board

A brand new envelope maker is out and its called Envelope Punch Board and its made by "We R Memory Keepers".  I'm not sure its in stores yet so I ordered mine online from a scrapbook store in Greensboro. I ordered it back in Feb and I just got it this week. So far, I really like it.
It's easy to use and you can a cute envelope in a quick minute.  These are a few I made out of paper I had from Hobby Lobby. I'm still searching for envelope glue as Hobby Lobby was out.  I found a  video on you tube so I tried making my own glue but I'm waiting for it to dry to see how it worked. If it works, I will share the link  :).

Wink of Stella Brush (glitter)

I found this new product at Stampers Alley in Mooresville, NC this weekend.  I love glitter so I thought I had to have this. Its like a paintbrush and the glitter just brushes on. Its not messy and it dries pretty fast too.
These are my new tote bag dies from Memory Box. Aren't they cute? You can see the glitter on the paper I painted on. I just wanted a tiny bit and its less messy than Stickles.
